The Luso-Americano newspaper in Newark, led by journalist Henrique Mano, is attempting to confirm the identity of a potential 10th Portuguese victim of the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States, 25 years after the events. The investigation comes in the context of commemorations of the quarter-century since the terrorist attacks that destroyed the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York.

Henrique Mano was one of the first Portuguese journalists to arrive at the lower Manhattan area in New York, the day after the towers fell. The journalist went to the site immediately following the attacks, which were carried out by Al-Qaeda terrorists who hijacked two commercial planes and deliberately crashed them into the buildings.

The Luso-Americano's investigative work now aims to identify and confirm this possible tenth Portuguese victim, in a process that involves verifying data and testimonies related to the fatalities of the attack. This discovery could increase the number of confirmed Portuguese victims in the September 11 attacks.
