The value of new pensions in Portugal dropped 12.5%, according to today's printed edition of DIÁRIO. This reduction represents a significant decrease in the amount that new pensioners receive.
In October, 49 people left the Public Administration, a number identical to the total of retirees recorded throughout the entire year of 2025. However, the average value that these beneficiaries take home fell by 224 euros, which aggravates the impact of the decrease in pensions.
The 12.5% reduction in the value of new pensions constitutes the main headline of today's printed edition of DIÁRIO, and can be read in detail on page 3 of the newspaper.
In the same edition, the newspaper also addresses the issue of guide dogs, warning that animals like Hope and Guto should not be disturbed, as they help their handlers move around safely.
