Five largest Mozambican banks with profits of almost 600 thousand euros per day

SAPO Notícias9 September 2026 at 06:46

The five largest Mozambican banks achieved combined profits of approximately 44.2 million meticais per day during the first half, equivalent to about 596 thousand euros daily. The data was compiled by the Lus news agency based on the financial statements of the institutions.

The sum of profits recorded in the period totaled significant values for the country's banking sector. The daily calculation allows for a more accessible comparison of the financial performance of the main Mozambican financial institutions.

The financial statements of the institutions were the primary source for the preparation of this data. The analysis covered exclusively the five largest banks operating in Mozambique during the period in question.
