Israel declared a state of war after a strong multiple attack from Gaza. The conflict escalated significantly, marking one of the most serious situations in the Middle East region.
According to the Palestinian Authority, Israeli airstrikes have already killed 508 people, including around a hundred children, and caused 2,800 wounded.
On the Israeli side, more than 700 deaths and 2,300 wounded were recorded as a result of the unprecedented Hamas attack, considered the largest attack against Israel in decades.
At least 130 people were captured as hostages by Palestinian groups, which increases the humanitarian complexity of the conflict.
