Pedro Emanuel, Vasco's coach, rejected the label of a "copa" team (cup specialist) after the goalless draw against Santa Fe, on Tuesday. The coach stated that the club seeks to be recognized as a competitive team in all competitions it disputes.
The game against Santa Fe was away from home and ended in a zero to zero draw. Pedro Emanuel praised the team's performance that took the field, highlighting that the team once again demonstrated its competitive capacity.
Vasco is competing in three tournaments simultaneously, and Pedro Emanuel stated that he seeks results in all of them. However, the coach admitted that the performance in the Brazilian Championship, which is played in a round-robin format, is not being satisfactory.
In the Brasileirão, Vasco is in the relegation zone. Even so, Pedro Emanuel reinforced that he maintains confidence in the work, dedication, and competitiveness of the group, expecting that the players respond when they are called to play.
