A man known as "Tarado de Belas" was arrested by the Judicial Police on suspicion of committing 16 sexual crimes against four minors. The arrest took place in the municipality of Sintra, where the suspect lived.

Authorities received complaints from family members of two of the minors, which led to the investigation that resulted in the predator's capture. The Judicial Police believes there may be more victims, and has appealed for any additional cases to be reported.
