The father of a 15-year-old teenager sought the Civil Police of Jaú, in the interior of São Paulo, and filed a police report against his own son. The decision was made after the private school where the young man studies alerted the families about his participation in the creation and sharing of fake intimate photos of a classmate, generated through artificial intelligence.
According to the police record made at the Judicial Police Central of Jaú, the teenager and seven other classmates from the 9th grade, all boys aged 15, maintained a WhatsApp group in which they used digital programs to manipulate images of the student and simulate nude photos of her.
The school suspended the students involved and contacted the families of the victim and the students. After the alert from the educational institution, the student's father decided to inspect his son's device and confirmed the presence of the files in the application. He then brought the case to the police. The father's identity was not disclosed.
