Iran says it captured a US underwater drone in the Strait of Hormuz

The Revolutionary Guard Navy stated on Tuesday that it had seized an American unmanned underwater vehicle near the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz. According to Iranian media, the equipment would be a Dive-LD, produced by the company Anduril Industries. There was, at that time, no independent confirmation of the incident nor official reaction from the Pentagon or the White House. The Strait of Hormuz is a strategic waterway in the Persian Gulf, through which a significant portion of the world's oil maritime traffic passes. This type of incident represents another episode of the recurring tensions between Iran and the United States in the region.
