The Brazilian pilot Márcio Uebel Hubner, 49 years old, died in Colombia after being abandoned injured by his accomplices on the banks of a river. He had been a fugitive from Brazilian justice since 2022, when he made an emergency landing in the interior of São Paulo carrying 656 kilograms of cocaine.
Hubner was handed over by his accomplices and remained hospitalized under custody in a Colombian hospital. His health rapidly deteriorated and was associated with the so-called "flesh-eating bacteria," a serious infection that led to his death.
During the years he remained a fugitive, the pilot moved in a circuit between Brazil, Venezuela, and Colombia. In the Colombian country, he began operating for Ivan "Mordisco," considered the most wanted man in Colombia, according to information obtained by the Colombian newspaper El Tiempo.
