The red-and-white club thus managed to maintain a positive trajectory of results after a period of negative results. The decrease in profit between the two fiscal years reflects a decline in financial performance of the sports limited company of the Lisbon club.

Benfica SAD recorded profits of 19.1 million euros in the 2025/26 season, a decrease compared to the 34.4 million from the previous year, but maintaining positive results for the second consecutive year. The growth in matchday revenues (historical high of 45.2 million) and television revenues (record of 55.7 million) supported the performance, although operating revenues without player rights declined 7%. Net debt fell 6.1% to 184.9 million euros and equity increased 16.5% to 135.5 million. The SAD highlights financial discipline and sustainability as pillars of the strategy, with president Rui Costa stating that sporting ambition and financial sustainability are "inseparable dimensions of the same project".
