The Portuguese State is again a shareholder of REN (Redes Energéticas Nacionais) with a 13.7% stake in the capital. The acquisition was carried out through Parpública, the company responsible for managing State holdings.
The operation was subject to prior approval from the Court of Auditors, a condition that was imposed for the completion of the transaction. This legal requirement was fully met through a decision made on August 31st.
Parpública sent a communication to REN to inform about the completion of this shareholder acquisition. With this stake, the State reinforces its presence in the national energy sector through the company that manages the energy networks.
