The Quaest poll released on Tuesday places former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) in the lead for the Senate race in the Federal District, with 26% of voting intentions. She is followed by Senator Leila Barros (PDT), known as Leila do Vôlei, who is seeking re-election and appears with 17%. This year, two seats are up for grabs in the Senate race.
Federal deputies Erika Kokay (PT), with 13%, and Bia Kicis (PL), with 11%, complete the scenario of the main candidates in the race. The survey also recorded lower intentions for Sebastião Coelho (Novo) with 2%, Professor Guilherme Amorim (UP) with 1%, Ronaldo Fonseca (PSD) with 1%, Tiago (Agir) with 1%, and Zanata (PSTU) with 1%. Avenir Rosa (Democrata), David Horn (PCO), Guto Felício dos Santos (PSDB), and Marley (Avante) did not register in the poll.
Michelle Bolsonaro and Bia Kicis are supported by PL's presidential candidate,Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro. Meanwhile, Leila Barros and Erika Kokay are building a platform for President and re-election candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the Federal District, establishing a clear division between the two political camps in the race.
The poll also indicated 13% of blank votes among those interviewed. The scenario reflects the national political polarization, with Michelle Bolsonaro representing the Bolsonaro camp and Leila Barros and Erika Kokay aligned with the Lula government.
