Quaest: Tarcísio has 42% and Haddad, 27%, in new poll for São Paulo government

Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos) leads the race for re-election to the government of São Paulo with 42% of voting intentions, according to a Quaest poll released this Tuesday. Former minister Fernando Haddad (PT) appears in second place with 27%. In the previous August poll, Tarcísio had 40% and Haddad maintained 27%.

With the new result, Tarcísio's advantage over the PT candidate went from 13 to 15 percentage points. The other candidates have very low scores: Carlos Machado (PCB), Izadora Dias (PCO) and Police Officer Edjane (Agir) appear with 1% each, while Vivian Mendes (UP) scored zero.

Blank, null and voters who say they won't vote total 13%, while 14% of those surveyed are still undecided. The poll was commissioned by TV Globo and surveyed a total of 1,800 voters in the state of São Paulo.
