SAPO Notícias8 September 2026 at 20:33

Maria José Gonçalves, from the JPP party, intervened during the solemn session of Municipality Day in Ponta do Sol, where she presented the party's vision for the development of the municipality.

The JPP representative defended that the progress of Ponta do Sol should not be achieved at the expense of the municipality's identity and roots, warning of the need to preserve the essence of the Municipality.

Gonçalves also emphasized that the simplest and most everyday problems, which directly affect the lives of the local population, should not be relegated to the background in the context of development.

The JPP party thus proposes a balanced approach for Ponta do Sol, combining modernization with the valorization of cultural heritage and the resolution of the basic needs of residents.
