The president of Sindifaz-PI (Union of State Revenue Auditors of Piauí) warned that the state may lose R$ 600 million in revenue if the regulation of tax agents does not occur within the scope of the Tax Reform.
According to the union, approximately 800 servers work in the inspection of goods transit in the state. These professionals are responsible for a significant part of Piauí's revenue.
The Tax Reform under consideration in the National Congress may compromise the activities of these tax inspectors, as it changes the rules for tax collection and distribution among states.
The union argues that specific regulation is needed to ensure the continuity of inspection operations and the maintenance of the state of Piauí's revenue.
