The Cavallers Templers celebrated this Tuesday the 775 years of the founding of Castellón, in a ceremony held near the monument to King Jaume I. The mayor of Castellón, Begoña Carrasco, participated in the event organized by the aforementioned entity.
The date is especially significant for the city, as it marks the anniversary of the signing of the Privilegio del Traslado, granted in 1251. This document allowed the inhabitants of Castell Vell to settle permanently in La Plana.
This privilege is considered the milestone that originated present-day Castellón, representing a fundamental moment in the city's history. The celebration by the Cavallers Templers aims precisely to recall this historical episode that shaped the urban configuration of the city almost eight centuries ago.
