The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) officially presented its fertility plan for female footballers. The presentation took place at the Football City in Las Rozas, an event chaired by Rafael Louzán, which aimed to explain the details of a project that allows senior national team players to freeze their eggs at practically zero cost, with expenses paid by the Federation.
The plan also includes other benefits related to assisted reproduction treatments, such as in vitro fertilisation. The RFEF took the initiative to publicly explain the project after the criticism and controversy generated since its existence was revealed, as no clarifications had been provided until then.
Several players from the Spanish national team attended the presentation, including Patri Guijarro, captain of FC Barcelona, and Olga Carmona, player of PSG. Former footballers such as Marta Unzué and Andrea Falcón were also present.
The Federation intends for the plan to be received positively, stating that they want it to be "a source of pride for everyone."
