The Second Chamber of the Supreme Federal Court cancelled on Tuesday the first session after Minister André Mendonça ordered the removal of the Federal Police director-general, Andrei Rodrigues, and submitted the decision to the chamber.
In a trial that reached a majority to endorse the measure, the process was interrupted by a motion for view by Minister Gilmar Mendes.
With the interruption, the session was cancelled without a final ruling on the removal of Andrei Rodrigues.
Mendonça's initial decision and the subsequent formation of a majority to endorse it were halted when Gilmar requested more time to analyze the case before issuing his vote.
