Directors of the Federal Police released a note on Tuesday afternoon in defense of the head of the corporation, Andrei Rodrigues, putting their positions at disposal. The manifestation occurs after a decision by Minister André Mendonça, of the Supreme Federal Court, to remove Rodrigues from the position.

The document speaks of "unjustified attacks suffered" by the PF on Tuesday. The directors affirm that "narratives markedly influenced by political-electoral interests do not have the power to erase the history, reputation, and professional trajectory of anyone."

The note is signed by 11 directors of the Federal Police, demonstrating unanimous support for the director-general of the corporation. The removal ordered by the STF occurs amid controversies involving the institution.
