In his plenary speech, Sousa emphasized that given the doubts and facts that are at the origin of the censure motion presented by Chega, there is an obligation not to allow silence and omissions to continue fueling distrust in State institutions.

Filipe Sousa stated that a censure motion constitutes one of the instruments available in the parliamentary context, suggesting that this type of debate is legitimate for addressing questions that generate doubts in public opinion.
The JPP, Filipe Sousa's party, thus positioned itself in favor of transparency and the clarification of facts, arguing that the pursuit of truth is an obligation of elected representatives towards the Portuguese people.
