The Brazilian defender Arthur Chaves returns to Brazil to play for Botafogo. The player arrived in Rio de Janeiro to sign the loan contract with the Brazilian club, coming from Hoffenheim in Germany.
Before playing in the German Bundesliga, Arthur Chaves had a stint at Académico de Viseu, a club in the Portuguese second division, where he developed his career and gained visibility in European football.
The loan to Botafogo marks the defender's return to Brazilian football, after the international experience in Germany and Portugal. The 22-year-old player will strengthen the defensive sector of the Rio de Janeiro club.
Botafogo, which competes in the Brazilian Serie A, secure another defensive option with the signing of Arthur Chaves on loan until the end of the season, with the German club Hoffenheim retaining ownership of the player.
