The United Arab Emirates will have warned Israel about the imminence of an attack about a week and a half before October 7. According to the investigation, the warning was transmitted by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed, UAE National Security Advisor, to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Netanyahu will have ignored this warning, not taking significant preventive measures before the Hamas attack that occurred on October 7, 2023. The investigation suggests that the information shared by the Emirates was specific about the imminence of a threat.
The Israeli Prime Minister reacted to the revelations, classifying the investigation as "an absolute lie." Netanyahu did not specify which aspect of the investigation his denial referred to.
This case arises in a context of broader diplomatic tensions, including the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant request against Netanyahu, which has been complicating Israel's international relations.
