The Socialist Municipal Group of Castelló demanded from Begoña Carrasco's government full transparency regarding the transformation of commercial ground floor spaces into housing in the city. The socialists claimed that the municipal administration provide all information related to this type of conversions.
The PSPV requested in the Urban Planning Committee the complete list of licenses granted for this type of interventions. Furthermore, the socialist councilors also asked for the list of responsible declarations submitted to convert commercial establishments into housing.
This demand for information comes in a context where the conversion of commercial ground floors into housing has become a growing practice in Castelló. The PSPV thus intends to guarantee public access to concrete data on the number of authorizations granted in this area.
