The People–Animals–Nature Party (PAN) announced that it will vote against the motion of censure presented by Chega against the Government. The decision was made public by the party, which justified its position based on its assessment of the current political situation.
PAN considers that there are not sufficient grounds to trigger a governmental crisis in the country. This position was expressed before the vote on the motion of censure in the Assembly of the Republic.
The motion of censure was presented by the Chega party, of populist and far-right inspiration. With PAN's position, the motion of censure is closer to being rejected, since the party is traditionally an ally of the current Executive.
