The Chega party again insisted on the dismissal of the minister of Internal Administration, considering that there is an "unprecedented degradation" of institutions. This position arises at a time of political tension related to the internal management of the country.

André Ventura, the leader of Chega, accused the Socialist Party of being "captured by Luís Neves", in a reference to the secretary-general of the PS. This accusation suggests that Ventura considers the PS to be under the influence of Luís Neves in an inappropriate manner.

According to Ventura, Luís Neves "only does not ask for the dismissal" of the minister of Internal Administration "if he is as attached as the prime minister". This statement implies that, for the leader of Chega, both the socialist secretary-general and the prime minister have political motivations to keep the minister in office, relating this situation to political loyalty above the public interest.
