The Élysée Palace announced this Tuesday a decision to end trade with Israeli settlements in the occupied territories of Palestine. This measure represents a joint position of several European countries regarding the expansion of Israeli settlements.
Portugal is among the 12 countries signatories of this decision. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Portugal joined the same position, demonstrating an alignment between European partners on the question.
The measure aims to limit trade exchanges with the occupied territories, where Israel maintains colonies considered illegal under international law. This joint action by 12 countries marks a significant political positioning regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
