Mais Guimarães8 September 2026 at 13:00

The agreement was formalized between APPJuventude and CIM do Ave, represented by Hilário Matos and Mário Passos, respectively, within the scope of the CRJ+ project, which aims at Regional Youth Councils.

The partnership covers the eight municipalities of the Ave region: Guimarães, Fafe, Cabeceiras de Basto, Mondim de Basto, Póvoa de Lanhoso, Vieira do Minho, Vila Nova de Famalicão and Vizela, with implementation expected for 2026 and 2027.

The protocol aims to create conditions for greater youth participation in the definition of public policies, through the strengthening of municipal youth structures and the empowerment of professionals working in this area.

The cooperation is based on four main areas: empowerment of youth professionals and municipal teams, reinforcement of Municipal Youth Councils, promotion of consultation and co-creation moments through CRJ Academies, Caravans and Laboratories, and preparation of the future Intermunicipal Youth Commission of Ave.
