The Alto Tâmega Health Professionals Association (APSAT) published the book "When the (Un)Expected Happens", a publication that recovers the memories, testimonies and scientific knowledge produced during the III Emergency and Urgency Congress of Alto Tâmega and Barroso. The work aims to preserve not only a documentary record of the congress, but also the collective experience that brought together professionals and specialists from different areas of health and emergency.
The book includes scientific content, communications, interventions and reports from the different thematic panels discussed during the meeting. It also features a preface by Luís Barreira, president of the Order of Nurses, in a contribution that APSAT considers particularly meaningful for the association and for all those involved in organizing the congress.
APSAT revealed, in a statement, that the publication aims to "preserve and transmit a scientific and human heritage that goes beyond the moment in which it was produced", recording different professional perspectives, experiences, testimonies and contributions to reflection on urgency and emergency in the region.
The public presentation of the book is scheduled for September 14, at 6:00 PM, at the Municipal Library of Chaves, at a session open to the community that also aims to celebrate the work and dedication of the professionals who contributed to building the congress. This year, the IV edition of the congress will return to being held in Chaves.
