Women who smoke have a 40% higher risk of infertility than non-smokers, WHO warns

The World Health Organization warned that women who smoke have a 40% higher risk of infertility compared to women who do not smoke. The warning was issued by the United Nations agency for public health.

According to the WHO statement, secondhand smoke can also affect female fertility, representing an additional risk for women exposed to cigarette smoke.
