The municipality of Peso da Régua was distinguished with the Gold Seal for Digital Usability and Accessibility, a distinction that recognizes compliance with accessibility standards, inclusion and ease of use of municipal digital services.
The distinction comes as a result of the strategy of modernization and continuous improvement of online services promoted by the municipality, reinforced by the 100% approval of an application to the Recovery and Resilience Plan, under the framework of promoting digital accessibility in the Public Administration. With an investment of 10 thousand euros, fully funded by the PRR, technical and functional improvements were introduced in the municipal portal and digital services.
The objective was to ensure that all citizens, regardless of age, physical condition or cognitive ability, can access information and use municipal services in a simple, intuitive and autonomous manner. For the municipality, digital transformation should place people at the center of decisions and contribute to eliminating barriers in access to information and municipal services.
The Gold Seal represents, according to the local authority, a commitment to a closer, fairer and more inclusive public administration.
