Next week, between September 7 and 11, the University of Coimbra (UC), in partnership with the Academic Association of Coimbra, will promote a musical event with the presence of Calema. The show is free entry and promises to be a remarkable moment for the city.
Calema is a Portuguese musical duo originating from São Tomé and Príncipe, composed of brothers António and Nando Calema, who became internationally known with the song "A Nossa Vez". Their music mixes pop, R&B and African influences.
The event comes within the scope of the back-to-school activities at the University of Coimbra, attracting both students and city residents. Coimbra, known for its historical and cultural heritage, thus reinforces its commitment to cultural initiatives accessible to the public.
The organization anticipates a large turnout, considering Calema's popularity among the Portuguese public. The University of Coimbra thus continues to assert itself as an active cultural hub, beyond its traditional academic functions.
