Orlando Museum of Art announces three new exhibitions for autumn

Nossa Gente8 September 2026 at 12:57

The Orlando Museum of Art announced three new exhibitions for fall, with opening scheduled between September 11 and 25. The first is "Hello Sophie: The Picture Book Art of Sophie Blackall," featuring originals from the Australian illustrator, winner of two Caldecott Medals. The second, "Floridiana: Material Culture from The Sunshine State," presents more than 130 objects from Gary Monroe's collection depicting Florida's tourist culture in the mid-20th century. The third exhibition, "The Wild Path: Connecting the Florida We Don't See," brings together 70 photographs by photographer Carlton Ward Jr. about Florida's wilderness areas and the Florida Wildlife Corridor, a project dedicated to preserving the state's natural corridors.

A Flórida selvagem

Exodus finally shows how it plays and why time can become its best narrative weapon

"Exodus", developed by Archetype Entertainment (formed by BioWare veterans), was played at Gamescom. The game combines science fiction, space travel, companion relationships and a story that develops significantly based on the player's choices and actions. Although comparisons with "Mass Effect" are inevitable, the article argues that reducing the project to a mere spiritual heir to the BioWare classic is inaccurate after experiencing the game firsthand.

During his time in the region, which is becoming, according to him, his "second home", the actor praised the Alentejo landscape, describing it as a spectacle where "the view stretches to infinity", and discovered the musical work of Luís Trigacheiro, classifying his voice as "so powerful, so subtle, so sweet and so velvety". The event, which brings together music, wine and tourism in 12 micro-concerts throughout the region, aims to promote the Alentejo beyond wine, with musical culture taking a central role in the territorial tourism promotion.
