CDS alerted to security threats that it considers to be related to illegal immigration. A party deputy referred to the situation as a problem that affects Portugal.

London will be on "the wrong side of history" with sanctions application, says Isaac Herzog

Israeli President Isaac Herzog warned that the United Kingdom will be "on the wrong side of history" if it imposes sanctions on Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, just hours before London announced those measures. Herzog criticized the sanctions as interference in Israeli elections and stated they would economically harm the Palestinians. British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband announced targeted sanctions specifically on settlement expansion, although they do not represent a total boycott of Israeli products. The measures come in the context of growing outrage in Western countries over the acceleration of settlement construction in the West Bank, territory occupied by Israel since 1967 and considered illegal by the UN and the international community.
