Cinema audiences nearly double in August

The number of cinema audiences nearly doubled in August. This significant growth represented a positive moment for the film industry in Portugal.

The most watched film of the year in Portugal was Spider-Man: A New Day, which attracted almost 669,000 spectators during the month of August.

In second place was the film Odyssey, which registered 363,000 spectators in the same period.

These data demonstrate the recovery of the Portuguese film sector after a period of lower activity in movie theaters.
