Around 70 animals of various species were rescued in Setúbal by local authorities. The animals were locked in cages and spaces with poor cleanliness conditions, living in inadequate hygiene conditions.
The rescue was carried out following an operation that identified the situation of abuse and neglect of the animals. The authorities intervened to remove the animals from the location and ensure proper care.
The rescued animals received veterinary care and were relocated to temporary homes or adequate facilities, where they can have dignified living conditions.
