The Feiras Novas are already being prepared at Lar Santa Maria do Lima, where the users rehearse to the sound of Mickael Akordeon's concertina. During the morning, the residents sang traditional songs, clapped their hands, and recovered memories, in an animated atmosphere of preparation for the festivities.
Mickael launched the challenge of going to São João d'Arga to fetch bagaço with honey to tune the voice for the Feiras Novas. The rehearsal ended with the song "Feiras Novas" by Augusto Canário, and the musician joked that the users were already trained and ready to go every day.
With the voices tuned and the concertina ready, what remains now is to take the rehearsal to the street. To get into the atmosphere of the festivities, a special supplement of the Feiras Novas also hits the newsstands, with interviews with various protagonists who help bring life to the largest pilgrimage in Ponte de Lima.
