The space A Gráfica – Centro de Criação Artística receives on September 24th, at 9pm, two contemporary dance proposals: "Silent Currents", by Junis Becherer, and "Uma Transformação Chamada Desejo", by Maria Helena. The presentations constitute a night of experimentation around new body languages and contemporary creation.
The two pieces are part of the project Palco Experimental – Partícula do Açúcar, promoted by Partícula Extravagante with artistic direction by Rita Vilhena. The project runs from April and continues until November, focusing on contemporary dance and video art.
Palco Experimental – Partícula do Açúcar focuses mainly on young and emerging artists, starting from self-representation to explore relationships between body, identity and artistic narrative. The programming results from an "open call" that selected five projects for six sessions in different territories, seeking to bring together artists, audiences and industry professionals.
Tickets for the event cost between 5 and 8 euros and reservations can be made through the address [email protected]. The project also includes dialogues after the performances, the creation of an online archive and the participation of invited artists.
