Bruna Parente, an athlete from Santa Marta, in Viana do Castelo, became national champion in Sea Rowing in the C1xW category at the 2026 National Beach Sprints Championship, held in Cascais between September 5th and 6th.
The rower from the club Viana Remadores do Lima was congratulated by the Santa Marta Parish Council through a statement on social media, where they expressed pride in the achievement and highlighted the many hours of training, effort, and sacrifice behind this victory.
This 2026 title joins an incredibly successful record in the sport, which includes the same national champion title in 2025 and the bronze medal in the CW1x category at the international tournament 1924 Pharoes Trophy, also in 2026.
Additionally, Bruna Parente had already won the world champion title in indoor rowing in 2024, in the Under-23 Lightweight category, thus reinforcing her status as one of Portugal's top athletes in the sport.
