The PISA 2025 data reveal a significant decline in student learning, both in mathematics and reading, continuing a downward trend. Students also show greater demotivation, reporting higher levels of boredom in schools.
Portugal stands out as one of the countries where students say they feel least bullied, positively distinguishing itself in this indicator compared to other participating countries in the study.
The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) regularly evaluates students from about 80 countries, being considered one of the main international thermometers of educational performance. The PISA 2025 results confirm that the learning problems identified in previous editions remain and tend to worsen.
