The first weekend of Rock in Rio 2026 ended this Tuesday, after four days marked by torrential rain and exciting shows. GLOBO reporters covered the entire event at the City of Rock and prepared an assessment of what worked and what needs improvement for the next weekend.
Among the event's successes, the new LED structure at Palco Mundo, with 2,400 meters, provided an unprecedented visual spectacle for artists who knew how to take advantage of it. The sound system, which was unstable in previous editions, also did not disappoint, especially at Palco Mundo, managing to handle everything from the heavy riffs of rock band Nova Twins on the first day to the bossa nova of Luísa Sonza and Roberto Menescal.
The Confort Zone space at Palco Mundo divided opinions among spectators. Additionally, the audience demonstrated a strong attachment to nostalgia, using 2000s and analog cameras to record the event.
