Avalanche in Caucasus kills 11 climbers on Mount Mizhirgi

An avalanche struck Mount Mizhirgi, located in the Caucasus region, in Russia, resulting in the death of 11 climbers. Another 6 people were injured during the incident. The group was composed of 33 climbers in total.

Rescue teams are working to assist the victims, but are facing significant difficulties due to the restricted access terrain in the mountainous region. The operation continues ongoing to locate and assist the survivors.
