The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant restored its connection to the power grid after nearly three weeks of interruption. The connection had been disconnected on August 20 due to military activity near the facility.
During this period, the plant relied exclusively on emergency diesel generators to maintain its essential safety functions. These included the cooling of the six reactors and spent fuel pools of the facility.
