The Doutor Finanças Barometer – Digital Financial Literacy was presented by the Portuguese Catholic University, through its Center for Applied Studies, in collaboration with the Doutor Finanças platform. The study sought to assess the level of preparation of Portuguese citizens to manage money in an increasingly digitized environment. The research comes in a context marked by the growth of digital scams, particularly through platforms like MB Way, and by the challenges posed by artificial intelligence. The portrait drawn by the barometer suggests that, although Portugal is becoming progressively more digital, citizens may not be equally prepared to deal with the financial risks associated with this technological transformation.
