The Quaest survey released this Monday reveals that voters of other right-wing candidates, such as former governors Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) and Romeu Zema (Novo), as well as Renan Santos (Missão) and Augusto Cury (Avante), intend to support Senator Flavío Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) in an eventual second round against President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). The institute surveyed 2,004 people between September 3 and 6, with a margin of error of two percentage points.
The largest vote transfers to Flaviano occur among Zema's voters, with 59%, and Renan's voters, with 58%, followed by former coach Pablo Marçal, with 47%, who is ineligible, and Augusto Cury, with 46%. The smallest displacement in favor of Flavío occurs among Caiado's supporters, with 36%, although this rate still surpasses the 25% of voters of the former governor from Goiás who declare a vote for Lula.
The Quaest also indicates that, in an eventual second round, Lula and Flaviano appear in a numerical tie, highlighting the competitiveness of the scenario. The survey suggests that Flaviano is the main beneficiary of the fragmentation of the right-wing electorate, managing to aggregate support from different ideological currents within this political spectrum.
