Péricles, a singer known for singing about love, joked backstage at Rock in Rio this Monday (6), the fourth day of the festival, saying his music helps proliferate human beings in the world. He took the Sunset Stage with a Motown repertoire.
Before the show, the former leader of Exaltasamba pointed out meeting points between samba and soul, citing as an example the common themes and vibrations between the two genres. For him, the Motown generation shaped his way of thinking and forming himself as a citizen.
Péricles stated that Motown taught him and his generation to believe it was possible to have a place in the world, just as Fundo de Quintal revolutionized his life. He highlighted that thanks to these artists, he was able to feel like he belonged.
On the 24th, the singer releases a new album called "Camouflage," which will feature Ana Castela, Zeca Pagodinho, and Ney Matogrosso, among other artists.
