OFFICIAL: Benfica sells young forward to Romania

Maisfutebol7 September 2026 at 22:05

Benfica made official the transfer of young forward Jelani Trevisan to Romanian football, ending a five-season link with the club of the eagles. The player, who joined Benfica at a young age, now moves on to a new sporting challenge in Romania.

Forward Jelani Trevisan represented Benfica for five years, having passed through the various youth layers of the club before making the leap to the first team or, in this case, to a new adventure abroad. His training at the eagles allowed him to develop the skills that he will now apply in a new league.

The transfer to Romania represents an important step in the career of the young player, who leaves Portugal for the first time to compete in one of the Eastern European championships. This type of deal fits into Benfica's usual strategy of developing young talents and subsequently negotiating them in the international market.

With this sale, the Lisbon club adds another market operation in the current transfer window, continuing its policy of valorizing players trained at the club and at its academy. The financial details of the transaction were not immediately revealed.
