Singer and songwriter Roberta Miranda, 69, spoke publicly for the first time about her bisexuality on the program "Provoca," hosted by Marcelo Tas, which aired last Tuesday (8). The artist revealed it took her over 50 years to openly declare her sexual orientation.
According to Roberta, still in her youth, she decided to silence part of her affective life at her mother's request. "I kept this hidden for years," she stated. The artist said this choice caused her to lose relationships and led her to "succumb a part" of herself.
On the program, Roberta revisited memorable moments from her trajectory, from childhood to her career, including her sexuality and her relationship with her family. She is the author of "Majestade, o sabiá," one of her biggest musical hits.
