Yellow warning for prolonged hot weather until Wednesday

The Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere has extended the yellow warning for hot weather to the South Coast of Madeira and Porto Santo. The warning is due to the persistence of high maximum temperature values in these regions. The measure aims to alert the population to the adverse weather conditions caused by the prolonged heat. The yellow warning remains in effect until Wednesday, covering both the south coast and the island of Porto Santo.

Weather forecast for the municipalities of Mafra, Ericeira, Sintra, Torres Vedras, Santa Cruz and Lisbon, between September 8 and 11, 2026. The beginning of the period will be marked by partly cloudy skies, evolving to few clouds and later clear skies.
