Justice determined on Monday (7) the arrest of military police officer Vinicius Costa Silva, 26 years old, suspected of involvement in the death of his wife Larissa Morata, 29, in Embu das Artes, in Greater São Paulo. The police officer will be taken by the PM Internal Affairs to Romão Gomes Prison, in the North Zone of the capital. Vinicius denies the crime and maintains the version that Larissa took her own life.
The case continues to be investigated by the Civil Police as a suspicious death, but the murder hypothesis gained strength during the investigations. According to the police, inconsistencies and elements were identified that rule out, at least at this stage of the investigation, the possibility of a self-inflicted death.
Larissa was found with a gunshot wound to the head inside the house where she lived. The Forensic Police conducted an examination of the property and exams were requested on the hands of the victim and her husband, in addition to ballistic exams and other analyses.
