Leiria approves financial line for residential facilities to purchase generators

The Municipal Council of Leiria unanimously approved a financial line to support residential facilities in the acquisition of generators. The measure aims to strengthen the response capacity of institutions in emergency situations.

Councilor Ana Valentim presented the initiative during the municipal executive meeting. According to the mayor, the main objective is to increase the response capacity of residential care institutions in emergency situations.

This financial line is specifically intended for residential facilities, allowing them to invest in their own energy production equipment. The unanimous approval of the municipal executive demonstrates the political consensus around the importance of this measure for the protection of the most vulnerable populations.
